Warriors lead day 1 of state golf tourney

LIHUE — The Waiakea High School boys golf team finished Round One of the HHSAA State Championship in the top standing, shooting 19 over par for a 307 total gross on Thursday at Wailua Golf Course on Kaua‘i.

HHSAA Tennis Championships end

WAIPAHU — A handful of BIIF tennis players attended the HHSAA State Championships last week, and Waiakea High School’s Kiora Kunimoto placed fourth overall in the girls’ competition.

Ili named on all-tourney team

Kamehameha Schools – Hawai‘i senior Kahiwaleinaniokealoha “Kahiwa” Ili was named to the All Tournament Team for last week’s HHSAA Division II Softball State Championship.

Shudokan Judo Club honors champions

Two of Shudokan Judo Club’s members — Caden Pasa of Kamehameha Schools – Hawai‘i (left) and Irie Sakai of Hilo High School (right) — notched first place finishes at the HHSAA Judo State Championships. Kea‘au grad drafted by Ravens

Kea‘au High School alumnus Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens as the No.22 pick of the sixth round (199th overall).
