Waiakea wins HHSAA boys golf championship

Waiakea’s boys golf team won the HHSAA boys golf team championship on Friday, shooting 307 in both rounds to gross a total of 614 — edging 2022 Champion Maui Prep’s total gross of 620.

WHS junior Ryder Ng led the Warriors, placing third overall and carding even par to tie for second place in Round Two.

Also, Kealaekehe High School placed fifth out of the 10 competing teams.
