All homeless children and their families in Kona, Kealakekua, Kainaliu and Captain Cook are invited to a free sit-down turkey dinner served with side dishes and organic fruit desserts Monday, Dec. 23.
Gift baskets with food and school tools will be provided to 100 families upon their departure.
There will be a festive blessing and entertainment throughout the day, a visit from Santa, a clown, live music with “Bosco the one-man band” and “Ben the acrobat sage.”
Painting stations also will be offered to keiki so they can make gifts for their family members.

The party will be hosted by the New Thought Center of Hawaii, 81-6587 Mamalahoa Highway, C302, in Kealakekua.
The church is behind Discovery Antiques, in the Big Red Barn, where you can also drop off cans of food, gifts and school tools for keiki anytime between now and the event.
At the dinner, there will be two seatings, the first at 1 p.m., and the second at 2:30 p.m.
Coordinators are seeking donations of 20 turkeys for the imu at Amy Greenwell Garden, pies, healthful desserts, juices, non-perishable foods, personal hygiene products, solar-powered flashlights, educational toys, skill-building tools and cash contributions for 700 meals.
