AP-NORC poll: 3 in 4 Americans back requiring wearing masks

A new AP-NORC poll finds about 8 in 10 Americans are at least somewhat worried that they or a relative will contract COVID-19, up from about 7 in 10 in June. Democrats are especially likely to worry about the virus.;

LOS ANGELES — Three out of four Americans, including a majority of Republicans, favor requiring people to wear face coverings while outside their homes, a new poll finds, reflecting fresh alarm about spiking coronavirus cases and a growing embrace of government advice intended to safeguard public health.
