Robert Trail Gray III, 80, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 13 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Toronto, he was the owner of Gray’s Furniture in Kona. Scattering of ashes and a celebration of life 1 p.m. Sunday (March 10) at the Fisherman’s Club at Honokohau Harbor. Survived by wife, Cynthia Gray of Kailua-Kona; son, Rob (Heather) Gray IV of Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada; daughters, Tiffany (Martin) O’Keefe of Toronto and Vanessa Gray of Sacramento, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Gray of Dorchester, Ontario, Canada; hanai sons; sisters, Gary A Gray and Susan Allen, formerly of Kailua-Kona; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Adeline Elizabeth “Grandma P-Nut” Kimi, 92, of Hilo died Feb. 25. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker and vendor/owner of Tropical Treasures at the Merrie Monarch Hawaiian Arts Fair. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Wednesday (March 13) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Committal service 8:30 a.m. Thursday (March 14) at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 Pavilion. Casual attire. Survived by daughters, Joanne “Jo” (James) Gallardo of Anaheim, Calif., Adrienne “Adi” Notley, Johnna “John” (Douglas) Medeiros and Leona Kimi (Donnie) Denne of Hilo; brother, Leo (Terry) Balambao of Oxnard, Calif.; son-in-law, Rudy Kalua of Oahu; 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Zdenek Michael Kluzák, 68, of Volcano died Feb. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Karlovy Vary, Czechoslovakia, he was a retired camera technician and vice president for the former Photociné Servicenter Inc. in Honolulu, published poet and former editor-in-chief and poetry editor of Hawai‘i Review at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Private services. Survived by wife, Margaret Russo of Volcano; son, Christopher Kluzak of Volcano; daughter, Katherine (Klay) Richards of Waikoloa; stepsisters, Kristina (Scott) Wright of Washington state, Jirina Potuzakova and Jaroslava Vlasakova of Czech Republic.
