Nixon Yutaka Arakaki, 63, of Kealakekua died Feb. 28 at home. Born in Kealakekua, he was an auto body technician. Survived by sisters, Hatsumi Arakaki and Amy (Peter) Gorham. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Bernard Kikuo Sagawa, 77, of Hilo died Feb. 13 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired deputy manager for the state Housing Authority, distributor of West Hawaii Today, member of Hilo Hooganji Mission, Big Island National Guard Retiree Association and retired veteran of the U.S. Army and Hawaii Army National Guard. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Thursday (March 14) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire. Inurnment 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, at the East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire. Survived by companion, Kaye Nagamine of Hilo; daughters, Trisha (Alan) Chun of Honolulu, Kasie Lyn (Keolu) Kailikea of Hilo, Lindy Sagawa of Oahu and Jessica (Johanson “Yonny”) Quist of Hilo; brother, Jason Sagawa of Oregon; three grandchildren.
