Haili tournament returns soon

The Haili Volleyball Tournament will return soon, with preliminary events tipping off in February and the main tournament slated for March 18 to 23.

The 51st Haili Girls Tournament will take place at the Hilo Armory from Feb. 19 to Feb. 24.

Juniors age groups range from eight and under to 18 and under. The women’s division will have B and Open divisions. Deadline for entry is Feb. 11. There is an entry fee and a concession.

The youth Haili Tournament’s age groups will also range from 8U to 18U. Its first matches will be played from Monday, March 18 — with championships on Wednesday, March 20.

Courts will be at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, UH-Hilo, Hilo Armory and Kawananakoa Center.

There are limited brackets, so those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Contact Lyndell Lindsey at 808-896-3358.

The Adult portion of the tournament will start on Wednesday, March 20, on courts at Afook-Chinen, UH-Hilo, Hilo Armory and Kawananakoa Center with the championships at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium on March 23. Divisions will be Women’s B, A, AA, and Masters 35 and 45, Mens B, A, AA and Masters. Entry deadline is Feb. 11.

There is an entry fee and there will be concessions at all sites. There are limited brackets so interested teams are asked to fill out an application as soon as possible.
