Yvonne Hufana Carineo, 77, of Keaau died April 3 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hanapepe, Kauai, she was a member of team tennis, senior softball clubs; and senior pickleball at Keaau Armory. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Thursday (Apr. 27) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life at 5 p.m. Scattering of ashes Saturday (Apr. 29) at Salt Pond on Kauai. Casual attire; no flowers. Francis Nicascio Paclib, 56, of Waikoloa died Feb. 15 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hawaii, he was a construction worker. Services at a later date. Ernest Eiichi Takaku, 90, of Hilo died March 28 at home. Born in Mountain View, he was a retired anthurium farmer and U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. Private services. Lorna Imperio Vallente, 54, of Paauilo died March 23 at home. Born in the Philippines; she was a housekeeper for the Westin Hapuna Beach Resort.
