Today was the first day of BIIF Softball Semifinals for Division I and Division II, during which high seeds hosted.

The teams will play again tomorrow and swap locations. If a team who won today also wins tomorrow, it will earn a bid in next week’s BIIF Championship series at Kealakehe High School. If a team who lost today wins tomorrow and ties the series, a third game will be played 1 p.m. Saturday at the high seed.

DII: No.4 Konawaena at No.1 Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i — KSH 16 – KoHS 0 (3 inning)

  • KSH leads series 1-0. The pair will face off again 3 p.m. Friday at Konawaena.

DII: No.3 Kohala at No.2 Honoka‘a — HHS 4 – KhHS 3

  • Honoka‘a leads series 1-0. Dragons and Cowgirls will play 3 p.m. Friday at Kohala HS.

DI: No.3 Hilo at No.2 Kealakehe — HHS 9 – KkHS 6

  • Hilo leads series 1-0. Vikings and Waveriders will play 3 p.m. Friday at Walter Victor Baseball Complex.

DI: No.4 Kea‘au at No.1 Waiakea — WHS 17 – KaHS 7

  • Waiakea leads series 1-0. Both teams will play 3 p.m. Friday at Kea‘au High School.
