Police seek leads on missing elderly man

Hawaii Island police are renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 76-year-old William Romeo Bishop Sr.

Bishop was reportedly last seen the afternoon of Jan. 22 near his home on 22nd Avenue in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Keaau.

He is considered endangered due to his age.

Bishop is described as Caucasian with a light complexion, 5-feet-8-inches tall, 170 pounds, with gray hair and green eyes. He may be driving a silver 2019 Toyota Corolla with Hawaii license plates ZJX 285.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Bishop’s whereabouts to call the police nonemergency number at (808) 935-3311, or contact Detective Scotty Aloy of East Hawaii Criminal Investigation Section at (808) 961-2381 or Scotty.Aloy@hawaiicounty.gov.
