Pair of missing hikers found unharmed at Kalopa State Park

The Hawaii Fire Department rescued a pair of lost hikers from Kalopa State Park Thursday.

According to a Fire Department report, two hikers, a 67-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, were reported missing shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday at Kalopa State Park.

In response, 12 firefighters and several Hawaii Police officers searched the area, with a Fire Department helicopter conducting an aerial search. The two hikers were successfully located with no injuries and were assisted back to their vehicle. The search ended before 5 p.m.
