Eiko Amy Tsuzaki Adam, 89, of Kurtistown, formerly of Nevada City, Calif., died May 28 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home in Hilo. Born in Mountain View, she was a leader in the Kentucky Flat 4-H Club, gardener, rockhound and member of the Nevada County Gem and Mineral Society, Rose Club, made feather lei and weaved lauhala. Graveside urn committal service for her and her husband, Billy G. Adam, at noon Wednesday, July 27, at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 pavilion. Casual attire; no koden (monetary gifts). Survived by son, Russell (Kim Smith) Adam of San Jose, Calif.; daughters, Robin Adam and Valerie (Jim) Peters of Kurtistown; brothers, Hiroshi (Patricia) Tsuzaki of Honolulu and Stephen (Lucille) Tsuzaki of Kahului, Maui; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Taichi “Tai” Isono, 95, of Hilo died May 22 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pahoa, he was retired owner of the former Tai’s Painting and U.S. Army veteran during the Korean War. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by children, Lynn (Stefan) Kelemen of Claremont, Calif., Myrna Mizer of Yorba Linda, Calif., Cindy (Clyde) Sakoda of Hilo and Randall (Jackie) Isono of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Katsuichi (Miyuki) Isono of Kaneohe, Oahu; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The Rev. Dr. Severo “Sevey” “Berong” Ramos Picar Sr., 82, of Hilo died April 29 at home, Born in Caba La Union, Philippines, he was a retired Filipino Assembly of God minister and pastor of Hilo First Born Temple and Waipahu Full Gospel Chapel. Visitation 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Hilo First Born Temple, 181 Oio St. Funeral service/celebration of life at 10 a.m. Casual attire, Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Survived by wife, Victoria Picar of Hilo; children, Sevey (Daniell, Helen) Picar Jr., Zachary (Lori) Picar, Vince (Paula) Picar and Ruth (Sergio) Cabal of Hilo; 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
