Judith “Judy” Julie Ater, 76, of Hilo died April 22 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker, member of Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church and volunteer at the County Office of Aging. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Sunday, June 5, at Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church, 162 Kapiolani St. Celebration of life at 3 p.m. Casual or aloha attire; no flowers. Survived by son, Thomas (Genevieve) Teixeira; daughters, Jessica (Duane) Vargas and Jamie Ater; daughter-in-law, Anna Ater; brother, Ismael “Pancho” (Judy) Flores Jr.; sisters, Violet Wadkins and Lucille (Stephen) Meek; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two aunts; nieces, nephews and cousins. Mason Terray Fiesta, 31, of Honomu May 18 at his home in Orchidland Estates. Born in Camp Lejeune, N.C., he was a construction mason and laborer, Hilo High School graduate and graduate of a culinary program. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday, June 3, at Dodo Mortuary. Prayer service at 6 p.m. Celebration of life noon-4 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Pepeekeo Community Center. Refreshments will be served. Mary Ellen Loretz, 83, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 13 at home. Born in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was a retired beauty consultant, cosmetologist and former co-owner of a mobile home park in Northern California. Private service held. Survived by daughter, Nanette Antoon of California; son, J.P. (Lisa) Antoon of Arkansas; two grandchildren. Arrangements by Cremation Services of West Hawaii.

Wilfred “Willy” Pacheco, 75, of Waimea, formerly of Kurtistown, died March 22 at home. He was born in Hilo. Survived by daughters, Tanya Moeller, Wilma Thornton and Winnifred Morikami; son, Willy Pacheco.

Aaron Tsurumi Sugino, 61, of Pepeekeo died April 23 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired social worker for the state Department of Health, maintenance worker for the University of Hawaii at Hilo, owner of Aaron’s Blue Kalo and member of Hakalau Jodo Mission. Visitation 11 a.m.-noon Thursday (May 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Memorial service at noon. Casual attire; no wreaths, but small plants for Aaron’s garden will be welcome. Survived by wife, Vinel Sugino of Pepeekeo; hanai children, Wendi Simmons of Hilo, Adrianna Menino of Milolii and Issac DeMello of Hilo; father-in-law, Rowland Tavares Sr. of Hilo; brother-in-law, Rowland Tavares Jr. of Hilo; sister-in-law, Wendilyn (Kunani) Simmons of Hilo; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
