Mary Ellen Loretz, 83, of Kailua-Kona died Jan. 13 at home. Aaron Tsurumi Sugino, 61, of Pepeekeo died April 23 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired social worker for the state Department of Health, maintenance worker for the University of Hawaii at Hilo, owner of Aaron’s Blue Kalo and member of Hakalau Jodo Mission. Visitation 11 a.m.-noon Thursday (May 26) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Memorial service at noon. Casual attire; no wreaths, but small plants for Aaron’s garden will be welcome.
