The Arc of Hilo is a recent beneficiary of the Ohana Fuels “Fuel Up. Do Good.” Community Giving Program.

Ohana Fuels partners with nonprofit organizations that serve the needs of the community and donates a portion of every gallon of gasoline purchased at Ohana Fuels stations in that community. The total donation to Arc of Hilo was $6,549.90 from gasoline sales during the first quarter at all Ohana Fuels locations and proceeds from car washes held during the quarter.

The Arc of Hilo enriches the lives of youth and adults with disabilities through employment and youth transition services, community living supports, and low-income housing.

“The generous support of Ohana Fuels will help the Arc of Hilo fulfill its mission, especially with our new youth program Career Exploration, which helps youth with special needs in high school successfully transition to community employment by age 18 alongside their nondisabled peers,” said Robert Efford, CEO of The Arc of Hilo.

“At Ohana Fuels, we are proud to support local nonprofit organizations through our ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’ Community Giving Program,” said Kimo Haynes, president of Hawaii Petroleum. “We value the exceptional work these nonprofits do to help local residents and neighborhoods. We look forward to supporting our communities through our ‘Fuel Up. Do Good.’” program.”
