Deborah “Debbie” Kay Fields, 65, of Keaau died Oct. 20 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Tacoma, Wash., she was a former food demonstrator supervisor, member and pianist of Heritage Christian Fellowship and pianist for Family Christian Center and Living Faith Fellowship. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 6) at Heritage Christian Fellowship in Hilo. Service livestreamed at 10 a.m. Survived by daughters, Kristen (Mario) Hernandez, Karlan (Kamalani) Osorio, Amy (Kaholo) Troy and Pearl (Jeremy) Flores; son, Dustin (Daphnee) Fields; sisters, Kimberly Wehrsig and Tina Arquinez; brother, Shawn Kalles; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Laura Ruth Gharazeddine, 62, of Kailua-Kona, died Aug. 26 at home. Born in Kingston, N.Y., she was active in the Hawaii County Democratic Party, served as a convention delegate, precinct president, District 6 chairman and secretary, paddler and member of Kai Opua Canoe Club, road rally racer and participant in The Great Race for several years. Irene Yoshie Kohara, 92, of Naalehu died Oct. 19 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired cashier for the former Pick and Pay Supermarket in Naalehu and member of Naalehu Hongwanji Mission. Elaine Lucille “Sister” Hailikulamanuole Ludloff, 91, of Hilo died Oct. 4 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired private secretary with the County of Hawaii. Walter Robert Mattos, 80, of Hilo died Sept. 23 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter for the state Harbors Division. Private services held.
