DOH reports 102 new COVID-19 cases statewide

The state Department of Health reported 102 new COVID-19 cases today and three more deaths, bringing the statewide total number of cases to 10,946.

Of the new cases, 98 were in the City and County of Honolulu, bringing its case total to 9,782.

Hawaii County reported four new cases with its total number now at 603.

Another COVID-19 deaths were reported today among residents of the Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home by Hawaii County Civil Defense. That brings the number of coronavirus-related deaths at the veterans home to 15, with 16 overall COVID-19 deaths reported on the Big Island.

It’s not known how many of those deaths have made it to DOH’s official total, which is now at 103.

There were no new cases reported in Maui or Kauai counties, with their case totals remaining at 378 and 58, respectively.

Hawaii residents reported infected while out of state number 27.

Of the state’s cases, 667 have required hospitalization and 4,105 have been released from isolation as “recovered.”

There is a coronavirus testing clinic scheduled for 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at Ocean View Community Center in Ka‘u.
