One person was killed in a single-car crash Thursday morning in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates.
Police responded at 8:55 a.m. to a report of a black Dodge Durango that struck an embankment on Aloha Boulevard, near its intersection with Highway 11. The vehicle was reportedly headed down Aloha Boulevard and might have been speeding before it ran off the roadway and struck the embankment, police said.
The driver, found unresponsive, was the lone occupant, police said. The identification of the driver, described as an “elderly male,” was pending as of press time Thursday.
