Man killed in tractor mishap

Police are investigating the rollover of a tractor that killed a 69-year-old man Tuesday in Paauilo.

The Fire Department and a medical unit responded to a 4:27 p.m. alarm at a residence on Kaapahu Road and found the man in the backyard, pinned under the tractor and lifeless.

Fire units used the jaws of life and lift bags to extricate the man’s body from the wreckage and turned the scene over to police.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim.
