Pacita “Pat” Paz Bisquera Bagasane, 88, of Hilo, died Sept. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a retired housekeeper for Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Private services held. Survived by daughter, Suzanne (Larry) Nakayama of Hilo; brother, Jesus Bisquera of Philippines; a grandson. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

John August Cardoza, 84, of Papaaloa died Sept. 26 at home. Born in Laupahoehoe, he was a retired superintendent for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and Hawaii Army National Guard and Reserve veteran. Visitation 8-9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Laupahoehoe. Celebration of Life Mass at 9 a.m. Casual attire; flowers and lei welcome. Burial with military honors 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery. Bonny Gale Ichimaru, 61, of Hilo died Sept. 29 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker. Private services held. Joyce Setsue Manning 78, of Hilo died May 25 in Las Vegas. Born in Olaa, she was retired from the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Department of Agriculture, and a member of Honomu Hongwanji Church. Dean “Uncle Dean” “Naka” Toshio Nakanishi, 63, of Pepeekeo died Sept. 16 at home.
