Thais Tallett Bowman, 78, of Hilo died Aug. 5 at home. Born in Hilo, she graduated from St. Francis School on Oahu, retired as a senior lifeguard for Hawaii County in Laupahoehoe and Laupahoehoe School Swimming Pool, and was an avid golfer.
