U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs home loan limits for Hawaii County were set at $726,525 for 2019, an increase of $46,875. That increases the purchasing power for veterans who want to purchase or refinance using their home loan benefit.

Tony Dias, a VA home loan specialist, will host a free seminar from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Aug. 10, at ‘Imiloa Astronomy Center. Veterans can learn how to use their home loan benefit to purchase or refinance a home up with no money down and no private mortgage insurance, or have more than one VA loan at a time.

It also addresses how veterans can refinance into a VA loan from other loan programs to lower their monthly payments.

Dias has educated veterans in Hawaii, California, Texas and Washington state for more than 17 years. This is a ‘must attend’ for all those who have served.

Space is limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to register by calling 436-5791.

Refreshments and snacks will be served.

‘Imiloa Astronomy Center is located at 600 ‘Imiloa Place in Hilo.
