Police say a small aircraft made an emergency landing on Waikoloa Road about a mile south of Waikoloa village at about 10:35 a.m. today.

Two men, a pilot and co-pilot were reportedly aboard the single-engine Cessna 206, owned by William Aerial & Mapping, when the plane lost power. Neither was hurt, police said.

Police say the plane struck a traffic sign, then veered off the roadway and down a 25-foot embankment.

No roads were closed.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
