The University of Hawaii continues to boost the 2020 football-recruiting class with Hilo High’s Kilohana Haasenritter’s recent commitment.
Haasenritter transferred from Kamehameha, where he was used as a running back, receiver and defensive back. He has been told he will compete at slotback and running back for the Warriors.
Haasenritter is 5-10 and 175 pounds. He received a 3-star rating from 247sports.com.
His uncles are former UH safety Mana Silva and ex-wideout Kana Silva. He said Mana Silva is among his trainers. Haasenritter also credits Asai Gilman, who helps prepare athletes on the recruiting track, and Jason Saturnio, who guides his morning workouts, many of which begin at 4 a.m.
All four of UH’s 2020 commits will be seniors at Hawaii high schools. Earlier, UH received pledges from offensive lineman Jake Tuatagaloa of Mililani High, wideout Tamatoa Mokiao-Atimalala of Campbell High, and outside linebacker Ezra Evaimalo of Kamehameha.
