Elizabeth Kapeka Akao, 94, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 4 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born in Honolulu, she was a housekeeper at the former Kona Palms Hotel, homemaker and member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Celebration of life service 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kalaoa, Kona. Survived by daughters, Elizabeth (Francis) Waiau of Kailua-Kona; Clara (Morris Jr.) Graciidis of Kailua-Kona; son, Philip (Diane) Akao of Kailua-Kona; daughter-in-law, Doreen Akao of Kailua-Kona; stepdaughter, Annette (Buster) Causey of South Carolina; stepson, Carolina (late-Francis) Akao of Kohala; stepdaughter-in-law, Marasaline Akao of Hilo; hanai daughter Georgiann (Eric) Lauronal of Kailua-Kona; hanai son, Francis Akao of Kailua-Kona; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Florence Virginia Busby, 95, of Honomu died Sept. 25 at Hawaii Care Choices Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a retired registered nurse and member of Good Shepherd Mission in Honomu. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 4) at Good Shepherd Mission, 28-1640 Old Mamalahoa Highway in Honomu. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
