The Big Island Auto Club held rain-shortened bracket racing and a burnout event, with Jason Narciso of Kailua-Kona in a Corvette winning the Race 4 the Cause with a time of 12.01 seconds and a speed of 117 mph.

Paauilo’s David Francis (8.79, 162) was runner-up. Narciso took the race with a hole-shot and a better reaction time.

The fastest car on the track was Oahu’s Brandon Murakami, whose Cavalier turned in a time of 7.07 seconds and 193 mph. Riley

DeCoito in a Toyota won the “Burn 4 Hope” contest and benefit for Lawrence Jardine. The club’s next races are July 28-29.
