Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian that occurred last week at the Puainako Shopping Mall.

Hawaii Police Department Lt. Greg Esteban said a dark-colored SUV reportedly struck a 61-year-old Hilo woman March 5 in the KTA Puainako parking lot.

The woman suffered a significant ankle fracture from the collision. The vehicle, however, left the scene before the driver could be questioned.

Esteban said the driver has not yet been apprehended. Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to call police at 935-3311 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
