Hilo Photography Club members Charles Wood and Lee Schechtman will present programs this evening at the Kamana Senior Center, 127 Kamana St. in Hilo.

Wood will provide a technology update, detailing the latest in camera sensor designs, new camera bodies ranging from small pocket-size travel cams to high-end digital medium format, and the latest in state-of-the-art computer and television displays.

Schechtman will describe The Exposure Triangle, explaining the relationship of aperture (f/stop), shutter speed and ISO (sensitivity) and how understanding these functions is critical to achieve the desired results with various genres of photography, ranging from sports and landscape/nature to portraits.

The public is invited; admission is free. Light refreshments will be served at intermission.

Hilo Photography Club membership includes photographers ranging from beginner to professional. Photographers of all ages and experience levels are welcome and encouraged to become members. Club activities include monthly meetings, photography field trips and seminars. Dues are $15 a year.
