This year’s Hawaii Island Veterans Day Parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 4 and is shaping up to be bigger and more fun than last year’s with nearly 80 organizations participating.

Retired Army Col. Deb Lewis, parade chairwoman, invites everyone to experience how Hawaii Island “celebrates service” this year.

“Tell friends and family about it, watch the parade, thank our veterans, sign up online to participate as a march unit to tell your story of serving our community, donate or become an official sponsor,” Lewis said. “These are just a few ways individuals, community groups and businesses can honor those making a difference every day.”
