Michael Sullivan

Michael Sullivan

Sport: running

Hilo’s Sullivan – a prominent member of the running community – was somewhat good and somewhat lucky Sunday in winning the half-marathon at the Kona Marathon.

Either way, his runner’s spirit made his sponsor, Pacific Quest, proud.

Sullivan charged before appearing to lose a sprint to the finish to Alberto Ramirez at Waikoloa Beach Resort, but upon review, Sullivan was awarded the win on a technicality.

Sullivan gave credit to Ramirez, and flashed a smile. He’s high on life from running and helping others
