• Mikaela Willocks of Hilo was among 1,306 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees from the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley) during spring 2016 commencement ceremonies May 6-7.
• Mikaela Willocks of Hilo was among 1,306 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees from the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley) during spring 2016 commencement ceremonies May 6-7.
Willocks earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing and graduated summa cum laude.
• Kanani A. Jacunski of Hilo was named to the dean’s list at Western New England (Mass.) University for Spring semester of 2016. Jacunski has earned a degree in accounting.
• Chelan Murasaki of Hilo was among more than 750 undergraduate, adult degree and graduate-level students who received diplomas in commencement ceremonies at George Fox University (Ore.) this spring.
• Megan Nakahara of Honokaa graduated from the University of San Diego on May 22. Nakahara earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
• Treasa Cole of Volcano, a master’s student in the Global Field Program from Miami (Ohio) University’s Project Dragonfly, will travel to Belize in June 2016. Cole will study coral reefs, manatees, howler monkeys, jaguars and other wildlife while learning the methods communities are using to sustain them.
Cole is an alliance project coordinator at Three Mountain Alliance watershed partnership.
