Prince Dance Institute at Kahilu Theatre is offering several weekly dance classes during the summer.
The series of classes will begin June 20 and conclude July 12. The classes, Contemporary 2 and 3 and Improvisation and Choreography, will provide dance students the opportunity to push themselves and expand on their dance knowledge and vocabulary.
Each class will be instructed by Angel Prince, artistic director of Prince Dance Institute.
• Contemporary 2, ages 8-12, 5-6 p.m. Mondays; cost $50.
• Contemporary 3, ages 14 and older, 6-7:30 p.m. Mondays; cost $60.
These classes combine the technique of classical training with the expansiveness of modern and jazz dance.
• Improvisation and Choreography, ages 10 and older, 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays; cost $60.
This is a fun and explorative class that uses improvisation games as a tool to create movement and ideas.
