Mykala Tokunaga

Mykala Tokunaga

Sport: softball

Many BIIF athletes distinguished themselves during championship weekend, but consider Tokunaga’s career accomplishments the tiebreaker.

For the fourth consecutive season, the Kamehameha senior pitched the Warriors to the BIIF Division II softball title, and with a sweep of Kohala they completed their second consecutive unbeaten league finish.

Tokunaga, who also bats in the middle of the lineup, is the favorite to snag her fourth Player of the Year honor, but knowing Tokunaga, all she’s probably worried about is helping the Warriors win at the upcoming state tournament.
