The Red Cross is offering training classes in March at its offices at 55 Ululani St. in Hilo.

The Red Cross is offering training classes in March at its offices at 55 Ululani St. in Hilo.

Red Cross training classes can be taken in two ways: online blended-learning or full course.

Online blended-learning involves partial online learning, approximately one hour, and a two-hour classroom session.

Full course comprises traditional training in a classroom, instructor-led with video, book work and hands-on skills (practice on manikins).

The classes in March are:

Adult First Aid/CPR/AED

Get trained to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries and learn how to administer CPR and use an AED for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies on adults.

Cost: $90. Full course: 8:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. March 12 and 20

Adult &Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

Get trained to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries and life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants and learn how to use an AED.

Cost: $110. Full course: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. March 12 and 20
