The East Hawaii Regional Board of Directors of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation is hosting its annual community meeting from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua’s Conference Room, 45-547 Plumeria St. in Honokaa.

The East Hawaii Regional Board of Directors of the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation is hosting its annual community meeting from 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua’s Conference Room, 45-547 Plumeria St. in Honokaa.

All Hawaii Island residents are invited to attend.

HHSC consists of Hilo Medical Center, Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua and Ka‘u Hospital.

The East Hawaii board and regional administration will provide an overview of the operations and financial condition of all of the facilities, as well as a view toward the future. Members of the community are warmly welcomed to share their perspectives and concerns regarding access to health care services.

“Personal conversations and dialogue with our community stakeholders is absolutely essential in helping guide the decisions that the regional board must make” said Kurt Corbin, chairman of the East Hawaii Regional Board of HHSC.

The East Hawaii Regional Board of Directors was created by the Hawaii state Legislature under Act 290 in 2007.
