Police are investigating reports of shots fired late Sunday in Hilo.

At 10:08 p.m. Sunday, South Hilo Patrol officers responded to the Waiakea Uka area, where several residents said they heard multiple gunshots in the vicinity of Haihai Street and Nou Street. One car was damaged in the incident.

Detectives are investigating the shooting as a first-degree reckless endangering case.
