Every year, Read Aloud America is celebrated on Dr Seuss’ birthday, which is Monday. This year, Basically Books in downtown Hilo is sponsoring a coloring contest.
Participants can pick up a coloring page from the store at 160 Kamehameha Ave. during regular hours from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday. All entries must include contestant’s name, age, phone number and optional email address and must be returned by 5 p.m. Monday.
One entry per person will be accepted, and each will receive a special gift. First-, second- and third-place prizes will be awarded. Winners will be notified by Saturday, March 7.
