The Hawaii AJA Memorial Baseball League began its 80th season Dec. 7 at Wong Stadium with the Waiakea Pirates and Corsairs picking up victories.

The Hawaii AJA Memorial Baseball League began its 80th season Dec. 7 at Wong Stadium with the Waiakea Pirates and Corsairs picking up victories.

The Corsairs beat the Keaukaha Warriors 14-8, riding Brett Komatsu’s three-hit game and Mackanzy Maesaka’s three RBIs.

Jamison Hirayama pitched two innings of relief with two strikeouts to get the victory.

Shannon Camero went 3 for 3 with a home run and four RBIs for Keaukaha, while Cortney Arruda was 4 for 5.

The Waiakea Pirates got strong pitching from starter Kaili Tanaka, and relievers Robbie Meguro and Adrian Huff to beat Corsairs 6-1.

Keola McCallum picked up a two hits and drove in two runs.
