A search is in its second day for a 13-year-old boy who went missing after cliff jumping with friends Sunday at Hapuna Beach Park on Sunday.

According to a Fire Department release, the boy didn’t know how to swim but jumped off a 15-foot cliff and didn’t resurface.

Hawaii County Fire Rescuers and U.S. Coast Guard have been conducting joint searches since 10:22 a.m Sunday, with search units including an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew from Air Station Barbers Point on Oahu and Coast Guard Cutter Kiska, a 110-foot Island-class patrol boat home ported in Hilo.
