“The Wild Ways of Tim O’Reilly” is the story of a Vietnam War veteran suffering from PTSD who flees his troubles in Los Angeles hoping to “get his head back together” on a crop-dusting adventure across the U.S.

It turns into a classical adventure when Tim encounters not only a lovely “damsel in distress” but also a “knight” of the darker kind. Deadly trouble follows him from state to state and eventually to Hawaii. If the book isn’t on a bookstore’s shelf, a copy can be ordered. Hardcover, paperback and Kindle editions are also available online. Hughes attended Hilo schools, is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, and recently retired as a college instructor in Washington state.
