Hilo Little League is holding registration for ages 8-12 through Jan. 4.

Previously, a wrong date for the registration deadline was published.

Registration, medical forms, proof of residency and coach applications can be obtained at www.hilolittleleague.com or by calling 217-7166 or 987-8469.

The season is projected to begin on mid-January.

Big Island Trap

Club results

Mark Hironaga produced the highest score recently at the Big Island Trap Club’s monthly shot.

Participants shot 50 targets in singles, handicap and doubles events.

The high overall winners were Hironaga (136); Guy Davis (131) and Neil Arakaki (127).

There will be a registered shoot on Dec. 7 and a special events shoot Dec. 21. Both events run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. All shotguns, ammunition and eye and ear protections must be supplied by the participant.

40 and older

tennis league

The East Hawaii District’s Tennis Association’s 40 and older league is scheduled to run from Jan. 3 to March 15.

Matches consist of two singles and three doubles for 3.0, 3.5, 4.0. and 4.5-plus levels for men’s and women’s teams.

A captains’ scheduling meeting will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at the UHH athletic complex.

Tennis fun night

set for Dec. 6

The East Hawaii District Tennis Association will host a fun night for adult and junior players from 6-10 p.m. Dec. 6 at Edith Kanaka’ole Multipurpose Stadium.

The evening will consist of drills, light refreshments and prizes.

T-ball sign-ups

The Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an organizational meeting for T-ball (5-6) and coach-pitch (7-8) at 5 p.m. Dec. 9 at Aunty Sally’s Luau House.

The age cutoff date is May 30, 2015.

Coaches or team representatives must attend the mandatory meeting to enter a team, and league rules format and tournament dates will be discussed.

Kamehameha

cheer camp

Kamehameha-Hawaii is holding a youth cheer camp from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Dec. 6-7.

The camp is open to boys and girls between grades kindergarten through fifth grade.

Registration at a fee of $55 will be accepted until the first day of camp, but to receive a shirt at camp, the deadline is Nov. 24.
