The public is invited to attend a full day of Bible lectures Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Edith Kanaka‘ole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo.

The public is invited to attend a full day of Bible lectures Sunday, Nov. 2, at the Edith Kanaka‘ole Multi-Purpose Stadium in Hilo.

The theme of this assembly is “Seek Peace and Pursue It” and is based on 1Peter 3:11. Most of the speakers are from the Big Island. The assembly opens at 8 a.m. and the first part starts at 9:40 a.m. The session concludes at 3:55 p.m.

Some of the highlights include the talk “The Peace of God … Surpasses All Understanding-How?” at 11:05 a.m. This talk will be presented by Robert Rains, a representative of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in New York. Rains also will present the concluding talk, “Those Purusing Peace Gain Jehovah’s Approval,” at 2:55 p.m.

Later, at 11:35 a.m., there will be the dedication and baptism talk. Other talks during the convention will include “Pursue Peace as a Young Person” and “Promoting Peace Brings Joy.”

Throughout the assembly, the following questions will be answered by the talks.

1. What is essential if we are to enjoy peace (Rom.15:33)

2. How can we safeguard our precious peace with Jehovah? (1 Pet.2:21)

3. How do we pursue peace in our ministry? (Luke 10:5,6)

Provisions are made for those who have a hearing impairment. The program will be broadcast on FM radio in the facility and anyone with a small FM receiver can get the program this way.

The meeting is free and no collections are ever taken.
