Hawaiian Telcom said Thursday it restored service to all Big Island customers affected by Tropical Storm Iselle.

Hawaiian Telcom said Thursday it restored service to all Big Island customers affected by Tropical Storm Iselle.

Crews are now doing a final sweep throughout the Puna District to identify and address any outstanding items.

Customers who do not have phone or Internet service are advised to call Hawaiian Telcom’s 24-Hour Service Center at 643-6111.

Over the next two weeks some customers may experience a temporary loss of service of about two hours as Hawaiian Telcom crews replace equipment. These temporary disruptions do not need to be reported unless the outage continues past 6 p.m.

Hawaiian Telcom will continue to provide free wi-fi service at the Hawaiian Paradise Park Activity Center and the Pahoa Community Center through the end of September. Hours of operation: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Consumers should bring their own wireless devices, laptop computers, tablets and smartphones.
