Possible striping today on Ponahawai Street

The county Department of Public Works said if the pavement dries today on Ponahawai Street in downtown Hilo, the contractor has plans to stripe the roadway.

If and when that occurs, alternating lane closures will be in effect from the corner of Kapiolani Street to Kinoole Street and on-street parking will not be available.

Additional resurfacing is planned at the Kinoole Street corner although no day is set, according to the county.
