Henry “Mugs” “Pops” Grace Sr., 91, of Kealia died Aug. 5 at the Kona Community Hospital. Born in Olelomoana, South Kona, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former C. Brewer, cane truck driver for the former Ka‘u Agribusiness, member of Ka‘u Hawaiian Civic Club and avid volleyball and softball player. Visitation 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pukaana Congregational Church in Kealia. Funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Burial at Kalahiki Cemetery in Kealia. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Satoe “Patsy” Higuchi, 94, of Hilo died Aug. 5 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Onomea, she was retired from Paramount Grill and Woolworth’s Restaurant and a member of Papaikou Hongwanji Mission and Pomaikai Senior Center. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Clyde (Susan) Higuchi and Eric (Johnnette) Higuchi of Hilo; daughter, Hilda (Howard) Sakai of Kurtistown; son-in-law, Edwin Koshimizu of Pearl City, Oahu; sisters, Teruyo (Hideto) Yanagisawa of Hilo and Dorothy (Tom) Yanagisawa of Papaikou; sister-in-law, Nancy Fujioka of Davis, Calif.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. George Solomon Pule, 74, of Kapaau died Aug. 10 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Kohala, he was a landscaper for the Mauna Lani Resort Hotel and Bungalows, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Kohala Senior Citizens Club, and umpired for Kohala Senior Citizens baseball. Visitation 8:30 a.m. Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kohala Ward. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial in Hawi County Cemetery. Casual attire; flowers welcome.
