Pahoa High School is looking for a head football coach for its 8-man football team. All interested applicants should email a resume with references to interim athletic director Clemente Husdon at: clemente_husdon@notes.k12.hi.us.

Passas skills clinic

The Vince Passas Quarterback Academy will hold a skills clinic for grades 3 to 12 on Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Waiakea High School.

Cleats are required and all participants are required to sign coach Passas’ pledge.

A 7-on-7 pass tournament for high school players will be held starting at 1:30 p.m. that Saturday.

UHH soccer

camps slated

The University of Hawaii at Hilo soccer program is hosting three summer camps during the next two months.

The Vulcans’ keiki camp is June 16-17 at the UHH soccer field. Registration is free for players ages 4-6, and the deadline is June 13.

Camps for older age groups are on tap for June 16-19 and July 21-24. Ages 7-10 are on the field from 9 a.m.–noon with 11-14 going from 1–4 p.m.

The camp fee is $60 with a June 13 registration deadline for the June camp and a July 18 deadline for the July camp.

Fulford to coach

at HIH camp

Huntington Prep’s Rob Fulford will be the guest coach at the 2014 Hawaii Island Hoops College-Prep Basketball Camp.

The camp is scheduled June 16-20 at Konawaena High School.

In five seasons, Fulford has coached 15 McDonald All-American nominees and current NBA player Gorgui Dieng of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
