Kanu o ka ‘Aina Learning ‘Ohana in Waimea will offer a free non-credit class in “The Art of Helping and Listening” from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 16-20. Taught by Dorothy B. Mitchell, the class is designed for anyone who wants to be a better listener and helper to others.

Kanu o ka ‘Aina Learning ‘Ohana in Waimea will offer a free non-credit class in “The Art of Helping and Listening” from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, June 16-20. Taught by Dorothy B. Mitchell, the class is designed for anyone who wants to be a better listener and helper to others.

The class is taught with identified skills added one at a time with practice that builds each day.

A rating system will be presented during the class lecture and used as a tool. Participants will practice each skill taught in groups and triads and diads.

Participants will share their own concerns, not role-playing, so absolute confidentiality is a requirement.

Bring a midmorning snack for yourself and a drink. Water will be provided
