Edward Kaikala “Napi” Napihaa Jr., 75, of Hilo, died April 11 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hana, Maui, he was a retired customer service agent for Hawaiian Airlines, and served in the Hawaii Army National Guard. Visitation at 9 a.m. May 22 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Hilo. William “Bill” John Kuloloia, 70, of Pahoa, formerly of Kaneohe, died April 30 at the Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a heavy equipment operator and a member of the Operators Engineer Union. A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 16, from 2-7 p.m. at the Ainaloa Longhouse. Survived by sons, John-Michael Kuloloia of Pahoa, and James “Kimo” Kuloloia of Pahoa; sisters, Leona (David) Tagupa of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eloise (Jerry) Umiamaka of Kaneohe; and brother, Douglas (Gail) Kuloloia of Las Vegas.
Marie Virginia Mayo, 90, of Kailua-Kona died May 6 at her residence. Born in Palo Alto, Penn., she retired from the federal government as an executive secretary, a member of St. James Episcopal Church and a WWII Navy veteran. Private service held.
