The ‘Ula La Red Hat Society Chapter of Hilo invites local crafters to participate in the Shoppers’ Paradise on Oct. 18 during the 11th annual Hawaii State Red Hat Convention at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel in historic Kailua Village.

Red Hatters from Hawaii, the Mainland and Canada will be at this first state convention hosted on Hawaii Island.

“The convention theme, ‘Ruby, Rhinestones and Royalty,’ means that we are looking for crafts that sparkle, bling and cater to the Red Hat Society’s love for life and laughter,” said spokeswoman Mililani Hughes.

The Shoppers’ Paradise hours will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. in the pre-function area adjoining the hotel’s ballrooms.

Space is limited, so only 15 vendors will be accepted.

Vendor products will be screened, so photos, brochures or website information should accompany the application forms.

Cost is $50 per booth. June 30 is the closing date for applications.

Vendors will be notified of selection by July 15.
