Parker School will host Kahiau, its ninth-annual auction gala, on Saturday at the Fairmont Orchid.

All proceeds from the event go toward financial aid at the school. The Hawaiian word “kahiau” means “to give generously from the heart,” and every year, Parker puts on the gala so people can come together in a fun way to provide educational opportunity for Hawaii children.

Attendees will enjoy a sit-down dinner and have the opportunity to bid on hundreds of exciting silent and live auction items, such as six nights at the Four Seasons in Bali; a fishing adventure in Alaska; a Marriott stay in Costa Rica with partial airfare included; golf at the exclusive Nanea course; original paintings by Martha Greenwell, Harry Wishard, Emrich Nicholson, Joshua W. Miles and many other artists; private guitar lessons with slack-key master John Keawe; private pupu party for 20 catered by Lisa Vann of The Fish and The Hog; a three-night stay at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa packaged with an exclusive tour of Hirsch Vineyards on the Sonoma Coast; jewelry, health and spa packages; fine dining experiences; and much more.

Guests can also participate in activities such as “First Bidder Frenzy” in which they will have the opportunity to win an overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hualalai, and “Bubbly &Bling,” for the chance to receive elegant, high-end, custom-made jewelry by Simply for Fun jewelry company.

Parker School in Waimea serves 270 K-12 students, providing them with a world-class college-preparatory education. More than 50 percent of Parker students receive financial aid, and Kahiau, the school’s largest fundraiser, is key in making this possible.

Tickets to the adults-only gala are $150. Table sponsorship and underwriting opportunities are also available.
